About U&I Foundation
U&I Foundation is the brainchild of Phoebe and Solomon Ugabi. After years of agonizing how to best give back to their community back in Nigeria, they decided to start a foundation project to help some of the most vulnerable in that society – women, children and the elderly; in the areas of education and health care. Phoebe is an RN – registered nurse and Solomon is an MD, Family Medicine. They run a busy Family Practice in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. Both are also Ministers of the Gospel with Good News Fellowship International.
The full name of the foundation is Ujugbo Inyabir & Ishoja Ugabi (U&I) Foundation. The foundation is named after Dr. Solomon Ugabi’s late parents, Ujugbo Margaret Ugabi (nee Inyabir) and Ishoja Simon Ugabi. Choosing the initials U & I was deliberate and to suggest and encourage communal participation in and ownership of the project.

Our Objectives
Improve Public Health
To improve public health by fostering, organizing and providing quality free medical outreach programs and services to individuals and communities of limited means.
Public Awareness Campaigns
To facilitate access to proper health care services through public campaigns, seminars, lectures, talk-shows and other forms of public sensitization campaigns.
Public Health Research
To conduct research into issues which relate to public health through data collation, sampling, policy formulation and general advisory through any form of media permitted by law in the society.
Academic Mentor-ship
To provide academic mentor-ship on qualitative primary and secondary education to children and youths in the society.
Educational Aid
To aid educationally disadvantaged and indigent children and orphans in acquiring basic education.
Training & Resources
To provide training, resources and information to individuals and organizations and communities facilitating access to good health care services and volunteerism in the health sector.
Partner with Others
To partner with individuals, medical and similar organizations, both local and international for the actualization of the above listed objectives and other ancillary, related or allied matters.
Magazine Promotion
To own and publish a magazine or periodicals that will be used to promote public health and of the rights of persons to proper health care services and other such related matters, free of charge.
Maintain Assets
To maintain all necessary offices, vehicles, properties (tangible and intangible), copyright, trademarks, patents as are necessary to give effect to all the objectives of the Organization as mentioned above.
Online Media
To maintain social media accounts, blogs, websites and all other online medium necessary to achieve the objectives of the Organization as mentioned above.
